Make a Birthday Calendar to Track Important Family Dates

In our family, birthdays were always very special. The birthday celebrant got to sit at the head of the table, and was honored with a red dinner plate at supper time.

The birthday boy or girl also got to choose the main entree of the night. It could be anything within reason. One birthday I chose ice cream sundaes!

You’d think remembering the birthdays of my family members would be ingrained in my daily activities, based on our family tradition. I wish that were so!

However, there have been a few changes in the family tree this year (marriages, births, divorces, etc.) that mean I’m going to have to update the Birthday Calendar pages in my family cookbook.

Why use a Birthday Calendar?

The whole purpose of the Birthday Calendar is to keep in touch with family members by tracking their birthdays. (This is also great for a church fundraising cookbook, a section where all church members’ birthdays are listed to foster good fellowship).

Our Birthday Calendar is a wonderful feature of Matilda’s Fantastic Cookbook Software.

It helps you to keep an eye on what’s going on with different family members in terms of their circumstances, and update your Birthday Calendar accordingly.

Our Birthday Calendar organizes birthdays by month, which makes it easy to check who you need to send a birthday card or gift to, well in advance.

So update the Birthday Calendar in your family cookbook and you won’t have to make excuses for forgetting any important birthdays!

Happy Cookbooking,

Erin
