BBQ Chuck Steaks
INGREDIENTS
2 beef blade steaks cut 1/2 in thick
1 medium onion, chopped
1 cup catsup
1/3 cup vinegar
2 tablespoon brown sugar
2 teaspoon salt
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 bay leaf
1/8 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
DIRECTIONS
Mix onion, catsup, vinegar, b sugar, salt,
garlic, bay leaf and hot sauce in saucepan and cook Slowly 10
min, stirring occasionally. Cool.
Pour sauce over steaks in utility dish or plastic bag, turning to coat all
sides.
Cover dish or tie bag and marinate in fridge 6 hours or overnight.
Pour off marinade and save. Place steaks on rack in broiler pan or on grill
so surface of steak is 3 to 4 in from heat.
Broil at moderate temp 10 min.
Turn, brushing both sides w/ marinade and cook to desired doneness, 8 to 15
min.
