Fluted
Ice Cream Cake
INGREDIENTS
1 package devils food cake mix or double Dutch batter cake mix
1 pint strawberry parfait ice cream
DIRECTIONS
Heat oven to 325.
Make up cake mix as directed.
Pour batter into 2 well greased 3.5 cup fluted molds, up to
1 1/4 inches below rims.
Bake 50 min or until cake tester comes out clean.
Cool cakes 10 min in molds, then remove.
Let cool.
Cut thin slice off flat side of each cake to make it level
with edges.
Hollow out a scant cup of crumbs from center of cakes.
Fill center of each with ice cream.
Dab edges of cakes here and there with ice cream.
Invert ice cream side of one cake onto the other cake to
form fluted cake.
Freezer wrap and freeze until needed.
