Bread
and Butter Pudding
INGREDIENTS
3 cup milk
Grated rind of 1 lemon
2 tablespoon sugar
4 slices white bread, no crusts, spread with butter
1/2 cup raisins
3 eggs
1 tablespoon brandy
1/4 teaspoon grated nutmeg
DIRECTIONS
Heat milk with lemon rind and sugar in small pan.
When simmers, set aside for 10 min.
Butter a pie dish.
Cut bread slices in half, butter and place in layers in dish,
sprinkling raisins between layers.
Beat egg, add brandy and pour into milk.
Pour mix over bread and let soak for 1/2 hr.
Sprinkle nutmeg and brown sugar over top and bake at 325
for 45 min.
