INGREDIENTS
1 cake yeast
1/2 cup warm water
2 tablespoon shortening
2 tablespoon sugar
2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup milk
1 egg, or 2 yolks
4 cup sifted flour
DIRECTIONS
Soften yeast in water.
Add shortening, sugar, salt to milk.
Cool to warm and add yeast and beaten egg.
Stir in flour to make a soft dough.
Knead until satiny and smooth, 8 min.
Place in greased bowl, cover and let rise until doubles.
Punch down and let stand ten min.
Shape into rolls.
Let rise until doubled in bulk.
Bake 12-15 min 425.
