I’m going to let you in on a little secret: You don’t have to be a great cook to make a great cookbook. That may sound a bit odd coming from me, the granny guru of home-based cookbook-making. But believe me, I created my cookbook software for non-cooks as well as experienced cooks, and for those whose computer savvy may range from basic to advanced.
For example, the three tabs/templates we use for guiding you through making your own cookbook at home are pretty simple:
Recipes
The main tab/template for entering recipes and photos into your own cookbook. You can email a recipe from this tab/template, print a single recipe, or control which recipes actually get printed in your family cookbook (as opposed to just saving them digitally, which is a nice recipe management feature, too). You don’t have to be a great cook or a great computer user to use this tab/template to make your own family cookbook.
People
Where you add stories and photos about family members who’ve contributed recipes to the family cookbook. (You can even add family members who haven’t contributed which helps make a great family tree.) This tab/template also creates a family birthday reminder and address book, if desired. You don’t have to be a great cook or a great computer user to use this tab/template, either.
Printing
The tab/template used to select a cookbook design and printing options, check how your recipe will look on the printed page, alter font sizes, and get great tips on all aspects of making your own cookbook. In other words, you don’t have to be a great cook or great computer user to use this tab/template and make your own family cookbook.
Because of these three tab/templates — Recipes, People and Printing — you are just 3 steps away from successful cookbook-making at home with Matilda’s Fantastic Cookbook Software. Non cooks, experienced cooks, and basic to advanced computer users can be comfortable knowing they will produce a professional-looking cookbook every time. My fantastic cookbook software just does it, cook or no cook.
Happy cookbooking,
Matilda
