With budget cuts on everyone’s mind these days, it is logical to think of ways to use your creative talents (and Matilda’s Fantastic Cookbook Software) to delight your favorite co-workers with a do-it-yourself cookbook gift made on your home computer.
Remember all those great dishes brought to numerous work-related potluck gatherings, baby showers, or birthday celebrations over the years? I bet many of your co-workers would love an organized collection of these fantastic dishes in a do-it-yourself cookbook you’ve compiled just for them.
To make a simple do-it-yourself cookbook, select the half page format from the “Print” tab, then print a master copy of the recipe pages for duplicating 2-sided at a local copy shop. Once folded in half, each recipe page becomes part of the do-it-yourself cookbook’s center section. This center section can be covered in a colored paper with a personal message from you, some scrapbook art, or other personal theme appropriate to the do-it-yourself cookbook’s recipient. Staple all the center pages together for a nice little booklet that will truly be a unique and much appreciated co-worker gift.
Not only is this do-it-yourself cookbook for co-workers a novelty item, it is a great way to capture the wonderful camaraderie of the workplace. Including photos of any special food-related work events is particularly fun for co-workers who’ve been at a company for many years.
Who knows? You might inspire the “Boss” to allocate resources to expand your do-it-yourself cookbook into a company project.
Dilbert, eat your heart out.
Happy cookbooking,
Matilda
